A Snapshot of Our Story

In February 2017, Dean messaged Caylie on Instagram, sparking a connection that led to a lunch date at Chili's. With a mutual acquaintance providing reassurance, they quickly bonded, sharing stories and laughter. From then on, Caylie and Dean were inseparable, enjoying travels and gatherings with loved ones, deepening their relationship through all of life's moments.

Together, they've weathered joys and challenges, their bond growing stronger. Their adventures included welcoming Tank, their first Golden Retriever, into their lives in 2020, and later, Benny, a rescue Golden Doodle. In 2022, they bought their first home, creating a loving space for their growing fur family.

Grateful for their supportive families and a close circle of friends in Houston, Caylie and Dean cherish the community they've built, filled with spontaneous gatherings, barbecues, and shared experiences. Through it all, their love and friendship have flourished, laying a foundation for a lifetime of memories.

Our Engagement Play By Play:

On July 31st, 2022, Dean proposed to Caylie in a beautifully orchestrated moment. After Caylie spent her day at a cousin's baby shower, Dean took advantage of the fact she was already dressed up, aligning with one of her wishes for the proposal. With the help of Caylie's mom and sisters, Dean planned a surprise at a hill near their apartment—a spot special to them, with views of downtown and space for their dog, Tank, to play.

As Caylie returned from an impromptu Hobby Lobby visit, Dean called her to meet him on the hill. There, she found Dean and Tank, who wore a bandana asking, "Will you marry my dad?". Amidst the scenic backdrop and with a nervous but excited Dean on one knee, Caylie said "yes" to starting their next chapter together.
